Vintage Hand Made Large Gold Cameo Brooch

A hand made Cameo brooch from our second hand jewellery collection.

The shell cameo is set into gold with a rope twist design that tests as between 9 and 18 ct gold.

The goodess depicted on the Cameo is Hebe the Greek and Roman Goddess of Youth. She is seen with a bird and the vessel for the nectar that gave the Gods eternal youth.

This fine piece of vintage jewellery is shown in the box that we received it in which is from Harrods, London. It may well have been the original box that it was purchased in, but we cannot guarantee this.

The brooch has both a pin and hook fitting and a safety chain for additional security.

The cameo brooch measures 54mm by 45.4mm.
